Don't worry, I'm not going to start singing that delightful song of desire from Camelot, but I am going to point out a few current and upcoming events that romance readers won't want to miss!

It's week three of reader voting and, trust me, the excitement's really beginning to build.
Have you ever tried counting to ten to calm down? I'm not sure it works for a case of contest jitters. So far, I've counted to 676; one number for each hour until the reader voting ends at InD'Tale Magazine in June. Then, the books which made it to the finals will be reviewed by industry professionals who will decide the winners.
If my book, YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS WITH AL TATE, should make it to the finals, I can try counting higher, but I doubt it's going to help.
Maybe counting's not the answer. How about yoga? If I try real hard, I bet I can twist my body into a pretzel, sit quietly and meditate. Of course, by the time I'm feeling relaxed and try to untwist only to find my limbs have frozen in place, my nerves will sky rocket like Old Faithful. Nope, make that Mount Vesuvius.
But, hey, always look for the silver lining! The nearest first responder station is the one with the gorgeous, drool-worthy hunks… er, I mean efficient, well trained medical personnel. If it means one of those swoon-inducing hunks has to wrap his arms around me and help me lay down on a stretcher, who am I to argue? Um, I think I'm having heart palpitations.
It looks like finding a way to calmly pass the time until we find out who won is going to be difficult, but I'm sure the amazing award ceremony on August 9th during the fabulous Romance Novel Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada will be worth the wait!
Well, the counting and yoga didn't help,(except for one of the hunks giving me his phone number)! Ooh eee, baby! But uh, until I see him again, what's a gal have to do to relax? Okay, I'm just going to have to push the contest to the back of my mind until June. Yeah, I can do that. I can do anything I put my mind to.
I just have one more question.
Do any of y'all know a sure-fire way to stop chewing fingernails? I reckon by June, I'll have chewed mine off. Up to the elbow. Quick, dial those first responders!
